Ruby Beach, WA 2018. I collected these found shells and balanced them into a wave on a log. Because this is a national park, I then took the shells down and scattered them on the beach. It is important to leave no trace in our wild places. This was made on aday that I had high hopes and expectations. Nothing was working with these razor clam shells and frustration ensued. This called for a nap on a log and a little letting go. When I awoke with a clearer mind, my hands put me to work. It was as if they had been waiting for me to get out of the way all day.
